IPSO members’ benefit

Options and offers regarding the subscription to the International Journal of Psychoanalysis

  • Any candidate who wishes can subscribe now at https://www.psychoanalystdatabase.com   The cost is $70 US dollars for digital access – which includes access to all volumes back to 2001 with an additional optional $30 payable if the person also wants to be mailed all the print copies for 2022. Candidates must provide proof of status.

As the normal FULL price for this is $240 plus $30, this is a very significant discount.

  • Even lower rates are offered to those societies who organize block subscriptions – the best rate being what we call opt-out. It means that the society tells its members and candidates that they are using a special arrangement so that EVERYONE on the roster is subscribed but that anyone who is very unhappy, if they respond within 2 weeks, can refuse and so opt out. The fee is £30, €35 or $40 for a digital subscription (with the usual optional $30 extra for paper) depending on the currency the society is using. SO EVEN BETTER. Some societies have this arrangement; please get in contact with your society for further information. This is pretty much cost price and the best way forward.

We encourage candidates to ask their societies about this opportunity.

Additionally, the journal offers even lower group rates (!) to colleagues in places new to psychoanalysis or that are economically disadvantaged.

The IPSO Ex-com will be happy to help IPSO members in pursuing this deal with their society. Don’t hesitate to get in contact with us: ipso-editor@ipso-candidates.org.uk

Additionally, every subscriber has the right to attend the IJP’s 3 study days a year at NO COST. We believe this is a very valuable opportunity. Details are here: http://www.theijp.org/ijp-zoom-study-meetings/
