IPSO Mission:
IPSO was established to provide IPA candidates with an opportunity to come together to discuss issues of training, theory, and practice, as well as to offer a social context for candidates’ cross-cultural engagement.
We are committed to the belief that exposure to the pluralism and diversity of psychoanalytic traditions is an important part of a candidate’s well-rounded education.
By offering opportunities to recognize and explore both our similarities and differences, IPSO helps candidates to bridge and appreciate the diversity and richness of the many psychoanalytic traditions;
It provides the international width to complement the local depth.

To become an IPSO member you should be part of an Institute/Society part of IPA. The first step is to contact your local IPSO representative and inform that you want to join IPSO so that you can start your membership. It is the IPSO representative the responsible for gathering the list of IPSO member and collecting the dues for membership.

From 2020 the fee is 40€ or 40$ per year

To the IPA or to IPSO? The society should pay the fees into the IPSO bank account of their region whose details will be provided, and then send a full updated list of members with their email addresses along with a proof of payment to both the European IPSO Vice President, and to the IPSO Secretary.
The IPSO representatives articulate with their local institutes/societies.

There’s a reduction of 5 to 10 Euros for some countries following IPA’s policy of reduced membership fees for certain psychoanalytical societies. Every year this information is updated.

The funds collected around the world by IPSO are managed by the IPSO treasurer and used exclusively for a wide range of educational, cultural and scientific IPSO activities in the different regions.
